Officers Thwart Robbery Attempt

A quick response by two Oxford OPP officers led to the arrest of alleged axe-wielding pharmacy robber in Ingersoll.

Just after 8:15pm Tuesday, police were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart on Thames St. Police say a man in a mask had come in and demanded drugs from staff. When he didn't get what he wanted, police allege he pulled out an axe.

The man ran off, but was quickly arrested by the officers.

Brian Krall, 33, of Ingersoll is now charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Disguise with intent
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Breach of probation (two counts)
  • Possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
No one was injured during the robbery.
