The number of students choosing Fanshawe College continues to grow.
The college says its full time enrolment is up almost 7% this fall compared to last year. That's better than the 2.4% average increase at Ontario's community colleges.
“Today’s students want the job-related benefits of going to college,” says Tony Frost, executive director of Fanshawe’s Reputation and Brand Management. “Simply put, students know that increased lifetime earnings and career advancement result from a college education.”
Fanshawe says its international registrations are up more than 40 per cent over last year and first-year confirmations have increased by 8 per cent. This fall, the college had 9,000 first year students which marks its biggest incoming class in its history.
Across Ontario, more than 237,000 students are enrolled in full-time programs at community colleges.
