London Top Ten For Hotels

It's a feather in London's cap.

Trivago, the world's largest online hotel search site, has ranked the city seventh on its Canadian top ten best value index for 2016.

“London is a destination for sports, arts, culture, entertainment and conventions. Trivago’s announcement once again verifies that London is excellent value for visitors and event planners,” says John Winston, general manager of Tourism London.

In 2015, searches by Canadians on Trivago for hotels in Canada increased by 9% when compared to last year. The jump shows Canadians are increasingly opting to stay closer to home.

London is one of only two Ontario cities to make the list. The other was Niagara on the Lake.

With the average hotel rating in London a 78.58/100 and the average cost of a hotel $120 per night, the city scored 88.15%.

The Trivago Best Value Index ranks cities based on a combination of consumer ratings and average hotel prices with 100% being the top score.

La Malbaie, Quebec took the top spot on the index.
