London police are looking for a suspect after an attempted armed robbery and break-in at an east end pizza shop.
Police were called to the Little Caesar's at 1553 Dundas St. around 6am Friday, where they found the door smashed and a cash register laying on the parking lot pavement.
"What we have learned is that a cab driver was approached by a suspect not far from that location. He produced a gun and demanded cash," says Constable Ken Steeves. "The taxi driver drove away and then followed the suspect to the Little Caesar's and watched him break into the restaurant."
Police say the suspect dropped the cash register then ran away.
"He was last seen headed southbound toward Kiwanis Park," says Constable Steeves.
Police are now looking for a man described as white, around 25-years-old, 5'7'', wearing light blue jeans, a dark jacket, and a hoodie.
The cab driver was not hurt during the attempted robbery.
