A rash of property thefts across the region has left three teens charged with 48 offences.
London police, Middlesex OPP, Chatham-Kent police, and the Oneida Nation of the Thames police launched a joint investigation into a series of October vehicle thefts and break and enters in London and Middlesex. The investigation began after two men were arrested in Chatham-Kent on November 2.
Police say between October 16 and 31, six vehicles were stolen from various addresses both inside and outside of the city of London. Guns, fuel, and food were also taken from several homes and businesses.
During the investigation police found four of the stolen vehicles.
An 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy from Chippewas of the Thames First Nation and a 17-year-old boy of no fixed address are charged with 48 offences including, theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000, break and enter, possession of break in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime, and trafficking a firearm.
The 17-year-old of no fixed address and the 18-year-old have future court dates in London.
Police continue to search for the second 17-year-old, who can not be identified because of his age.
