London Christmas Tree Depots Open

Now that 2016 has been rung in, the city of London has opened it's Christmas tree recycling depots.  From now until Saturday, January 9, 2016 trees can be dropped off at any of these six locations:

South: Amway (Exeter Road by White Oak Road - west end of parking lot)

South: Mitches Park (Upper Queen Street parking lot)

Central: St. Julien Works Yard (south end of St. Julien Street)

East: Stronach Park (Beckworth Avenue parking lot)

West: Springbank Park (west entrance parking lot by Boler Road)

North: Adelaide Works Yard (Adelaide St N at Kipps Lane)

Masonville Place is no longer a drop off location.

Christmas trees and holiday greenery can also be taken to a Community EnviroDepot or held until the first yard material collection week in the spring.  Alternatively, trees may be placed out at the curb with regular garbage, but they will not be composted when collected with garbage.

The city asks that you remove all decorations including tinsel and garland before taking it to a depot or placing it curbside.  At the depot they ask that you remove any ties and plastic bags covering your tree.
