Drunk Driver Rams Vehicles, Spits On Cop

A St. Thomas man is facing charges after police say several motorists where followed, intimidated, and had their vehicles rammed by another vehicle.

St. Thomas police say they got numerous calls shortly before 8pm Tuesday about a vehicle following others to their destination, then intimidating them by revving the engine, and spinning the tires.

The vehicle was driven on the front lawns of homes on Balaclava St., ramming into other vehicles before police were able to stop it.

Police allege the male driver had nearly three times the legal amount of alcohol in his system and resisted arrest, spitting in the face of one officer.

A 21-year-old St. Thomas man is charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving, resisting arrest, and assaulting a peace officer.
