A former prime minister will deliver the keynote speech at a conference at Western University this weekend.
Jean Chretien is scheduled to speak at Western's second annual Social Science Academic Conference on Saturday. His speech is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
This year's conference is called "Pursuing Peace in an Age of Insecurity" and begins at 10:30am in the University Community Centre Community Room.
The university says other speakers include Nandita Biswas Mellamphy, an expert in digital media culture and the political dimensions of science fiction and neuroscience from Western's Department of Political Science.
The conference will also include presentations by students from Western's Faculty of Social Science, as well as discussion breakout sessions and networking opportunities.
Chretien recieved an honourary degree from Western in 2008.
