Home Damaged After Woodshed Fire Spreads

A home in Oxford County is damaged after a fire in a woodshed spread on Friday morning.

OPP and the Blandford-Blenheim Township Fire Department were called to a home on Township Rd. 5 at 10:47am Friday. Police say the homeowner smelled smoke, and after going outside to investigate, found that the woodshed was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire then spread to the home, but fortunately, both residents were able to get out without being injured.

An ambulance responded as a precaution and firefighters from Plattsville, Drumbo, and Princeton came to the scene to assist.

There's no damage estimate yet. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
