The London Knights celebrated Family Day with a big win over the Flint Firebirds 5-2.
London's Big Line, made up of Mitch Marner, Christian Dvorak and Matthew Tkachuk had a great game, getting all but one of the team's goals. Marner scored two goals in the first, only to have Flint's Luke Kirwan get one back before the end of the period. The score would remain 2-1 until the third period when Flint's Nicholas Caamano tied the game up.
That's when the Big Line sprung back into action. Christian Dvorak sent one to the back of Flint's net, assisted by Marner and Tkachuk. Aaron Berisha scored his 30th goal of the season to make it 4-2. With 1:20 left in the third, Flint pulled goalie Brent Moran and Tkachuk sent another one home, making the final score 5-2.
The Knights go up against the Barrie Colts Friday at 7:30 pm at Budweiser Gardens.
