London police are once again appealing to the public for help finding a woman missing since last month.
Since the search for 41-year-old Shelley Desrochers began on January 21, police say they have devoted 1,000 hours investigating and following up on the more than 50 tips they have received.
The tips ranged from those saying Desrochers is actively avoiding being located and others saying she met with foul play.
Desrochers was last seen around 10am January 5 in the area of Hamilton Rd. and Rectory St. Her disappearance wasn't reported to police until three weeks later.
Police say the case took on extra urgency when she failed to access funds from a bank account as she was expected to on January 29.
Police stress Desrochers is not currently wanted by police or the subject of any other investigation that would make her wary of making her whereabouts known.
Desrochers is described as white, 5'2", 141 lbs, with a medium build and straight, long brown hair. She also has a tattoo of a rose on her left upper arm and another of a heart on her right upper arm.
Anyone with any information as to where Desrochers might be is asked to call London police at at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
