St. Thomas police are looking for a man they believe has been using counterfeit cash to buy fast food.
Police were called about three incidents at fast food restaurants last week that saw a man order meals and pay using an American $100 bill.
In all three cases, the man was given change in Canadian funds. It was later discovered that the US bills he was passing were counterfeit.
Police are reminding businesses to review with their employees policies and procedures pertaining to acceptance of large bills.
The incidents occurred just days before Fraud Prevention Month, which kicked off Tuesday.
