Charges have been laid against five Londoners after two armed robberies involving a machete.
London police say just before 2am on Wednesday two men, one armed with a machete walked into the Mac's Milk at 507 Salisbury Ave. and demanded cash.
An hour later two men and two women, entered the Mac's Milk on Dundas St. in Thamesford and demanded cash. OPP say one man was armed with a machete while one of the women had a baseball bat.
In both incidents the suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
OPP investigating the Thamesford robbery called London police to say the suspects had got into a vehicle headed for the city.
Officers arrested five people after stopping a vehicle on Huron St. near Robin Hill Rd. in London. Police say the vehicle had been stolen from Woodstock.
A 19-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man, and two girls are charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, possession of stolen property, and having their faces masked.
