The London Knights' quest for the first overall seed in the OHL playoffs fell short, as they dropped their final regular season game 4-2 to the Erie Otters.
On Saturday, the Otters took a 1-0 lead in the first period, but London was able to score one of their own to tie things up in the second. However, Erie scored other two goals to take the lead going into the third. Both teams scored once in the final frame, keeping the Otters in the lead for the win.
Max Jones and Aaron Berisha scored the two goals for London.
The Knights and Otters each end the season with 105 points, but the Otters have the edge in wins by one, which serves as the tiebreaker.
The Knights will open the playoffs against Owen Sound on Friday.
