The London Knights could win their first round playoff series against the Owen Sound Attack Friday night, following Wednesday's 8-5 victory.
Matthew Tkachuck and Mitchell Marner led the Knights' offence, each scoring five points on the night. Tkachuck had four goals and an assist while Marner scored one goal and assisted on four more, three of them to Tkachuck.
London's Tyler Parsons blocked 34 shots for the win while Owen Sound's Michel McNiven allowed seven goals.
Scoring for the Attack were Bryson Cianfrone, Josh Sterk, Petrus Palmu, and Nick Suzuki.
The Knights lead the series 3-1. Game 5 is Friday night in London, though they may be without Max Jones.
Midway through the second period, Jones was slapped with a major penalty, ejected from the game and now faces a suspension following what appeared to be a blind-sided head check to Justin Brack of the Attack. A replay of the hit can be seen at the Sportsnet website, which also appears to show Jones laughing as he heads to the dressing room.
The puck drops Friday night at 7:30pm at Budweiser Gardens.
