A Woodstock man has been charged after one cat was killed and another was seriously injured.
The Woodstock Police Service says on Tuesday, the owner of the animals discovered the cats, which were then rushed to an animal hospital in Woodstock.
The cat that was found dead had suffered a broken jaw, bleeding from the nose and severe trauma to the head. The other cat suffered a broken jaw, bruising on its ear and major trauma to its nails from possibly trying to get away.
The deceased cat has been taken to Guelph for an autopsy and the Ontario SPCA has been notified.
A 24-year-old Woodstock man, who reportedly told the owner of the animals where to find the cats after they had been injured, has now been charged with two counts of cruelty to an animal.
