Man Rescued From Roof Of Burning Home

Arson isn't suspected in a blaze that trapped a man on the roof of a home on Nelson St.

London police and firefighters were called to the house, which is divided into multiple units, around 7:18pm Sunday.

When crews arrived smoke was billowing out of the rear of the building and a man was seen on the roof. Police and firefighters were able to safely rescue the man, while all other residents made it out on their own.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation. A small dog was killed in the fire.

The blaze does not appear to be suspicious but the cause remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
