Londoners can expect a sweltering Saturday and a much more comfortable Sunday.
Environment Canada says the temperature is likely to hit 31 C on Saturday, with humidity likely to make it feel more like 39 C.
Meterologist Peter Kimbell says there will be a considerable amount of moisture in the air.
“It will be unstable tomorrow during the first part of the day, with some precipitation,” says Kimbell.
While the morning showers won’t be cause for concern, Kimbell warns Londoners to keep an eye out for the possibility of afternoon thunderstorms.
While Saturday will feel a lot like a sweltering July day, Sunday and Monday will feel more like May.
“We basically go below normal for Sunday, and even more so on Monday,” says Kimbell, “So normal high this time of year would be probably around 24 C, and we’re looking for high of 20 C on Sunday and 16 C on Monday.”
But according to Environment Canada, temperatures will warm up on Tuesday through Thursday, with temperatures returning to normal levels.
