Man Injured In Unprovoked Attack

London police are looking for a suspect and asking witnesses to come forward after a vicious beating in a downtown pizza shop.

Police say around 2am Sunday, a man was at the Little Caesar's Pizza at 605 Richmond St. when another man repeatedly punched him in the face. Other customers stopped the assault but the attacker was able to escape.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries and had to undergo emergency surgery.

Police say the victim and attacker did not know each other. The suspect is described as a male with a tanned complexion, in his early to mid 20s, about 5'9" with an athletic build. He had a short, Mohawk haircut and was wearing a black v-neck t-shirt with gold lettering on it.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
