A 36-year-old London man has now been charged in connection with a shooting Saturday that left a man fighting for life.
Just before 10am on Saturday, London police got a call about a shooting in the area of Beaverbrook Ave. and Sarnia Rd. When officers arrived they spotted a man leaving the scene on a motorcycle.
Police gave chase, arresting a man who allegedly tried to flee on foot after the motorcycle came to a stop at Riverside Dr. and Wonderland Rd.
A man at the scene found suffering from a gunshot wound was taken to hospital in critical condition. As of 1pm on Sunday, his condition is unchanged.
Themistoklis Kouzounas, 36, of London is charged with over half a dozen offences including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, disqualified driving, and failing to stop for police.
Police say two other men who were arrested in relation to the shooting have been released unconditionally and no gun has been recovered.
The London Police Major Crime Section is continuing to investigate.
