London Majors & Barrie Baycats Split Doubleheader

The London Majors remain in first place after splitting their doubleheader with the Barrie Baycats Sunday afternoon.

London took Game 1 5-4 in a walkoff after scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh

Cleveland Brownlee singled with the bases loaded for the winning hit. RJ Fuhr added a two-run single to tie the game two batters earlier.

Oscar Perez got the win, allowing four runs on five hits over seven innings.

In Game 2, Barrie's Matthew St. Kitts threw a complete-game four hitter as the Baycats blanked the Majors 2-0.

Jeremy Walker hit a solo home run, and Kevin Atkinson added two hits and an RBI.

On the mound, London's Cory Hammond went seven innings and allowed both runs on nine hits, walking two and striking out two.

London's next game is Thursday night in Burlington against the Bandits.
