Country Music Week To Kick-off With Block Party

Country Music Week in London is going to start with a bang.

Organizers released details of the opening night block party on Wednesday. The "Jack Daniel’s Country Music Week Kick-Off Party" will be held the night of Thursday, September 8.

The block party will close down Talbot St. between King St. and Dundas St.

Several artists, including Tim Hicks, Aaron Pritchett, and Amy Nelson will perform.

Chair of the London Host Committee, Chris Campbell, is excited for the block party, as the organizers gear up for a big turnout.

“It’s a licenced area with a licensed capacity just under 5,000....so we expect large crowds,” Campbell says. “Entertainment will really be focused on the evenings there.”

Admission to the block party is free.

The decision to make the event free was easy, Campbell says, as it gives all Londoners the chance to come out and enjoy.
