A celebration of blues music featuring numerous bands kicks off on Friday at Victoria Park.
London BluesFest will feature 30 bands including headline acts the Downchild Blues Band, Devon Allman, Sass Jordan, Rare Earth, M2M featuring the Lincolns, and Scott Holt. Performers will entertain music lovers on four stages in the park, including the Free 98.1 stage.
BluesFest runs from August 26-28 with music in the park ending at 11pm each night. However the festival will continue until 2am at several downtown bars in what’s being called the “Eight Bar Blues Walkabout.”
Proceeds from the event will support spinal cord research at Parkwood Hospital.
