It may be the first day of school, but the temperatures will be more like those seen in mid-July.
High temperatures and humidex values expected Tuesday and Wednesday have prompted Environment Canada to issue a heat warning for London, Strathroy, Parkhill, Komoka and both Eastern and Western Middlesex Counties.
Temperatures will climb into the low 30s both days, with the humidity making it feel closer to 40 or 42 C. High temperatures may continue into Thursday.
High heat can affect everyone, but the risks are highest for the very young and the very old, as well as those with respiratory conditions.
