A Norfolk County woman has been airlifted to hospital following a serious three-vehicle crash east of Tillsonburg.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Sunday around 11:41am in Norfolk County, a green van stopped on Hwy. 3 to turn north onto Fertilizer Rd., when it was struck by an eastbound white pickup truck pulling a wood chipper. The crash forced the pickup truck into the westbound lanes where it was struck head-on by a black motor vehicle.
The driver of the black coloured vehicle, a 46-year-old woman from Norfolk County, was airlifted to a Hamilton-area hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries.
The driver of the green van, a 74-year-old man from Norfolk County, suffered minor injuries. The 43-year-old male driver and 42-year-old passenger in the white pickup truck were not injured.
Hwy. 3 between Pinegrove Rd. and Lyndoch R.d, as well as Fertilzer Rd. between Lyndoch Rd. and Windham Rd. 14 were closed for several hours while police conducted an investigation.
Police say charges are pending.
