Police in the Waterloo region say the driver of a truck involved in a fatal hit and run in November may be from the London area.
Joseph Robert Paul Lalonde, 49, was killed on November 26, 2016 when he was hit by a white pickup truck on Cedar St. in Cambridge. After being hit by the truck, he was struck by another vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene and was last seen heading west on Cedar St.
On Tuesday, Waterloo Regional Police announced that the driver of that truck may be from the London area. They are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
Police believe the driver may have taken the truck to a garage for repairs because there was damage to the driver's side headlights and mirror.
The truck is described as a white Ford F-250, F-350 or F-550 super duty pickup truck (1999-2001) or a Ford Excursion (2000-2002). It had a white cap on the back.
Police also released a re-enactment video in hopes of generating new leads in the case.
Anyone with information can call Waterloo Regional Police Services Major Crime Unit at 519-653-7700 ext. 8666 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
