Royce White came up one assist short of another triple-double in the London Lightning's 117-89 win over the River Lions in St. Catharines.
White led the Lightning with 23 points and 11 rebounds. His nine assists on the afternoon kept him one away from his third triple-double of the season.
Marvin Phillips was close behind with 22 points and Ryan Anderson added 20 for the Lightning. Kirk Williams, Jr. scored 28 points for Niagara, with six out of seven from the free throw line. Chris Commons and Sammy Zeglinski chipped in 15 points apiece while Commons led the defensive effort with 12 rebounds.
London controlled the game through the first quarter, but the River Lions roared back in the second quarter and had a 49-45 lead over London at the half. London then grabbed control in the second half and outscored Niagara 72-40. London scored 32 points off of Niagara turnovers.
The Lightning host Moncton Saturday night.
