Over $6K In Cheese Stolen From Oxford County Business

Police are looking for suspects after $6,200 worth of various cheeses were stolen from the Village Cheese Mill in Oxford County.

The Ontario Provincial Police say sometime between Monday and Tuesday, an unknown number of suspects broke into the business on Plank Line in South West Oxford Township.

The large quantity of cheese was stolen out of a walk-in cooler, and the thieves also made off with a large quantity of Canadian currency, DVD, fudge, meat sticks, Maple Syrup, shortbread, garbage tags, chocolate bars, stamps, international books, pre-stamped envelopes and Marilyn Monroe stamps.

The following is a list of cheese that was taken during the entry:

  • Two 3.2 kg blocks of Havarti
  • Five wheels of Gouda (two mild, two medium, one spiced)
  • Two rolls Smoked Gruyere
  • 40 lbs of curds
  • One 4.54 kg block of Old Sharp
  • Three Medium 4.54 kg blocks
  • Four Extra Old White 4.54 kg blocks
  • Two Extra Old Col. 4.54 kg block
  • One Marble 4.54 kg block
  • One Mozzarella 4.54 kg block
  • One Dill and Garlic 5 kg block
  • Four 5-year white cheddar 5 kg blocks
  • Two 5-year col. cheddar 5 kg blocks
  • One White 4-year cheddar 4.54 kg
  • Four Caramelized Onion 2.2 kg blocks
  • Two Onion and Parsley 4.54 kg blocks
  • Two Sizzling Hot Jalapeno 5 kg blocks
