Knights Hammer The Storm 8-2

The London Knights crushed the Guelph Storm 8-2 in OHL action on Thursday.

Owen MacDonald and Olli Juolevi both scored in the first period to give London a 2-0 lead. Victor Mete, Sam Miletic and J Piccinich all scored a goal in the second frame to extend London's lead to 5-0.

The Storm scored their first goal of the game early in the third, but both Miletic and Piccinich followed up by scoring their second of the night to make it 7-2 for the Knights.

Josh Nelson added on another goal for London late in the frame, and Guelph scored once more in the final 50 seconds, ending the game with London ahead by six goals.

London goaltender Tyler Parsons made 26 saves out of 28 shots on net.

The Knights return to the ice on Friday to battle the Erie Otters. The puck drops at 7:30pm at Budweiser Gardens.
