Arrest Made In Shoe Store Robbery

London police say a suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a November robbery at a downtown shoe store.

Around 2:10pm on November 7, 2016, a man went into Shoenet London at 223 Dundas St. and assaulted the clerk. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk suffered minor injuries.

On Wednesday, police announced that 42-year-old Wilfred Riley of London was arrested last Friday. He is charged with armed robbery, assault with a weapon, and possession of stolen property.

Police are thanking the public for the information that led to Riley's arrest.
