A stabbing in downtown Woodstock has sent two people to hospital.
Woodstock police say a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both from Ingersoll, were walking along Dundas St. around 9am Friday when they got into a verbal confrontation with a 30-year-old man, also from Ingersoll.
During the heat of the argument, the 30-year-old allegedly pulled out a weapon and stabbed the 24-year-old, according to police. That prompted the 31-year-old allegedly to threaten the other man with a weapon.
The 30-year-old then took off but was quickly located with the help of canine officers.
The 24-year-old man and the 30-year-old man were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It is unclear how the 30-year-old man was injured.
Police say this was not a random incident, as all of the men knew each other.
A 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both from Ingersoll are charged with weapons offences.
