More Charges Against Abduction Suspect

Additional charges have been laid against the man wanted in connection with an armed abduction that began in London and ended on the Oneida Nation of the Thames.

Marlon Antone, 29, is charged with two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, using an imitation firearm, and failure to comply with recognizance. Police are still looking for him.

The charges stem from a home invasion on Saul St., near Dundas St. last Wednesday. During the invasion, a man was forced from the east-end home at gunpoint and into a vehicle. London police briefly gave chase after locating the vehicle. The pursuit however was short lived with officers calling it off out of concern for public safety.

Roughly two-hours later, the vehicle was spotted on Walker Rd., in Oneida Nation of the Thames, an aboriginal community southwest of the city. Heavily armoured officers in dozens of vehicles flooded the area, which remained on lockdown for roughly seven hours.

While the victim was located, the suspect managed to get away. Police have said the pair did know each other.

Antone already has an outstanding arrest warrant for assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, and mischief under $5,000 in relation to a separate incident.

Police continue to search for Antone and warn the public that he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots him is advised not to approach him but to call 911.
