Police Nab Alleged Pot Pie Thief

A 33-year-old Ingersoll man is facing charges in connection with the theft of 200 frozen turkey pot pies.

Oxford OPP began investigating last week, after $1,000 worth of individually sized pot pies were stolen from the second floor freezer of the St. James Anglican Church in Ingersoll. The theft is believed to have taken placed between Monday, May 15 and Sunday, May 21.

While the pies have not been found, police have arrested a 33-year-old Ingersoll man. He is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police are thanking the public for the tips they provided in relation to the case and are asking anyone with additional information about the theft to give them a call at 1-888-310-1122.
