The storms have moved out, and power appears to have been restored to everyone in the city of London.
Environment Canada had issued a severe thunderstorm warning late Sunday afternoon after a series of strong storm cells moved through the London-Middlesex area.
Heavy rain from this storm was experienced in London, with reports of many flooded streets. Trees in some London neighbourhoods had fallen over, causing damage. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
London Hydro crews worked most of Sunday night to restore electricity to over 3000 affected customers. The utility reported shortly after 9:30pm that fewer than 250 customers were still in the dark, mostly in the Old East Village area.
