OPP say there were no life threatening injuries after a school bus, a dump truck, and a car collided just east of London.
Just before 3pm Wednesday, Middlesex OPP say a bus heading south on Nissouri Rd. turned left in the path of a northbound dump truck at the intersection of Nissouri Rd. and Evelyn Rd. just north of Hwy 2.
Six students on the bus suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to hospital via land ambulance.
The driver of the bus was airlifted to hospital, but OPP Constable Liz Melvin says the use of the Ornge air ambulance was not the result of the severity of the driver's injuries, but rather because there was no room in the land ambulances.
Police say minor injuries were suffered by the driver of a Volkswagen car that was waiting at the stop sign on Evelyn Rd. The force of the collision between the dump truck and the school bus caused the bus to hit the car.
The dump truck driver wasn't hurt.
Police are still investigating. The intersection was reopened around 5:30pm.
