Provincial police in Oxford County are looking for suspects after a cruiser was hit by a stolen car.
Around 10:35am Monday, an Oxford OPP officer was on patrol in Ingersoll, when he began following a stolen vehicle. The officer followed the vehicle to Earl St., which is a dead end street.
After the officer activated his emergency lights and got out of the cruiser to approach the vehicle, the driver struck the parked cruiser, which then hit the officer.
The vehicle, a grey 2003 Mazda 3, which had been reported stolen in Huron County, was later found abandoned on Merritt St. A search of the area did not turn up any suspects.
The officer was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
