OPP in Elgin County are still looking for suspects after guns and ammunition were stolen in a break-in.
Police were called around 3:30pm Wednesday to a home in the area of Quaker Rd. and Dexter Line in Central Elgin. Police say there had been a break-in and three guns, ammunition, and jewellery were stolen.
Believing the break-in had just happened, the OPP's Emergency Response Team and members of the Canine unit were called out to search for suspents. A containment area was set up in the area, but no suspects were found.
It was later determined that the break-in had happened sometime between 10am and 3pm.
Police are reminding gun owners that firearms need to be securely stored in locked containers.
The incident is still under investigation.
