London Police are investigating after separate reports of gunshots in opposite ends of the city Saturday.
Multiple police vehicles converged on the scene of the Holiday Inn at Wellington Rd South and Southdale Rd around 4pm Saturday, with what police say was a response to report of shots fired at a business. Witnesses noticed officers on scene at the hotel with weapons drawn. It is not known whether any shots came from the hotel or another business in the area, or whether any shots were fired at all.
Police say the scene was cleared shortly after 7pm. There have been no reports of injuries.
Police are also investigating a gunshot report from early Saturday. A caller to police reported what sounded like gunshots in the area of Fanshawe Park Rd East and Cedarhollow Blvd. around 1am. At this time, there is no indication that these incidents are connected.
