Strathroy Police Investigate Arson

An arson investigation is underway after a van and electrical transformer were set on fire in Mount Brydges.

Strathroy-Caradoc police and the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department were called to the back of the Mount Brydges Food Mart on Adelaide Rd. around 1:43am Tuesday.

When they arrived, they found a cube van and an adjacent transformer on fire. Investigators believe the blaze was intentionally set and an accererant was used.

No injuries were reported. Strathroy-Caradoc police are now working with the Middlesex County Fire Prevention Office and will soon have the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshall.
