Strathroy-Caradoc Police confiscated drugs and a stun gun during a weekend traffic stop.
Officers noticed a man slumped over the wheel of his vehicle around 12:30am Saturday, parked on the side of McKellar St in Strathroy. Once they were able to rouse the driver, an inspection of the vehicle turned up drugs and a conducted energy weapon, known as a "Scorpion stun gun". The weapon was seized, along with 11.5g of marijuana and a trace amount of crystal methamphetamine.
The 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a Schedule Two substance and possession of a Schedule One substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The man has not been identified since the charges have not yet been formally sworn in court, police say. He has been issued a promise to appear for court in September in London.
