Worker Pinned By Concrete Slab

The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating after a worker at a concrete facility northwest of London was hurt on the job.

Middlesex OPP and paramedics were called to Coldstream Concrete on Quaker Lane in Middlesex Centre after a large concrete culvert that was being moved fell and pinned a 38-year-old male worker around 11am on Wednesday.

The man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police have turned the investigation into the industrial accident over to the Ministry of Labour.

Coldstream Concrete has been in business since 1945 and employs 70 people. It manufactures precast concrete products for the construction and drainage industry.
