A London man is facing a charge of attempted murder after a shooting in Barrie sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.
The Barrie Police Service said 24-year-old Dylan Brown of London was arrested by London police on Monday.
Brown was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for attempted murder following a shooting incident on Mulcaster St. and Lakeshore Dr. in Barrie, on August 13. After being turned over to Barrie police, Brown appeared in court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody until a court appearance on August 28.
The shooting victim, who has not been identified, was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Another suspect in the shooting, 43-year-old Douglas Pritchett of Barrie, has also been arrested in connection with the shooting and is charged with accessory after the fact to commit attempted murder, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless handling of a firearm.
A third suspect, 21-year-old Max Cameron Pritchett of Barrie, remains at large. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous. He's described as a white male, 5’8" tall, 142 lbs, with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes.
