Police Seek Assault Suspect

London police are asking the public for help as they try to identify a suspect after a man was assaulted inside a north-end apartment building.

A man walked into an apartment near Masonville Place around 2am on August 19. Police say the resident of the apartment was assaulted after coming home to find the intruder and confronting him.

The man took off on foot after the assault.

On Wednesday, police released video surveillance of a suspect wanted in relation to the incident. He is described as white, 25-35 years of age, approximately 5’7” with a medium build, short brown hair and shaggy facial hair. The man was wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve blue shirt, white sunglasses and had a black backpack.

Anyone with information to the man's identity or about the incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
