The London Knights beat Windsor 5-2 to hand the Spitfires their fourth straight loss on Thursday.
Sergey Popov and Josh Nelson both scored in the first period to give London a 2-0 lead heading into the second. The Spitfires started the frame off strong with Luke Boka scoring 1:38 into the second, but Alex Formenton responded with another goal for the Knights to make it 3-1. Boka scored his second goal of the night early in the third to bring Windsor within one, but Liam Foudy and Alec Regula both scored unanswered goals to seal the win for London.
Knights goalie Joseph Raaymakers made 25 saves out of 27 shots on net, while Spitfires goalie Michael DiPietro made 23 saves out of 27.
The Knights return home on Friday to take on the Niagara IceDogs at 7:30pm. Also on Friday, the Spitfires head to Guelph to take on the Storm at 7:30pm.
