Doug Ford In London Monday

Ontario's new PC Party leader will make two stops in London Monday.

Doug Ford is scheduled for appearances at a London hotel and at Western University Monday evening.

The first stop is a rally hosted by Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton, who confirmed Ford's scheduled appearance on his Twitter account.

The rally, dubbed as a Rally For a Better Ontario, is scheduled from 6pm to 8pm at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn at 591 Wellington Rd.

From there, Ford is scheduled to head to the Western University campus for an appearance at The Wave restaurant and bar.

The second stop is sponsored by the Western Conservatives as part of their Speaker Series, and was also confirmed via Twitter.

It will be Ford's first time in London since winning the Ontario PC leadership contest over two weeks ago. Ford won a fast-tracked campaign for the leader's position after the abrupt resignation of Patrick Brown.

Ford is faced with the task of leading the provincial Tories through an election campaign, with the goal of unseating the majority Liberals.

The election is set for June 7.
