Knights Lose Game 3 To Attack In OT

The London Knights dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to the Owen Sound Attack in Game 3 on Monday.

The Attack was on the board with a goal early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead heading into the second. Sergey Popov scored for the Knights 2:30 into the second, but the Attack added another two back-to-back goals just before the nine-minute mark.

Tyler Rollo scored for London just over halfway through the second frame, and Evan Bouchard added another goal late in the third period to tie the game and force OT.  However, Owen Sound was able to score 33 seconds into extra time to edge the Knights.

Knights goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 38 saves out of 42 shots on net.

The Attack now lead the best of seven series 3-0.

The puck will drop for Game 4 in London on Thursday at 7pm.
