Five London-based companies are being recognized for being among the best places to work in the country.
3M Canada, JMP Engineering, HRDownloads, Zomaron, and Voices.com have made the list of this year's best workplaces in Canada as ranked by the Great Place to Work Institute.
The list was compiled using the score from confidential employee surveys and a review of an organization's culture. The Institute looked at criteria related to a company's credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
In the category of companies with under 100 employees, HRDownloads, which offers human resources support to thousands of Canadian companies, ranked 29th. Payment processing company Zomaron placed 44th, and digital talent firm Voices.com came in 47th.
“Our mission, vision, and values are all of the utmost importance to us,” said David Ciccarelli, CEO of Voices.com. “The success of a company rests on the great people you hire and their ability to execute on your strategy. That’s why employee engagement and happiness is paramount. We are proud to be recognized as a Best Workplace in Canada for 2018, and take it as a confirmation that we are meeting our goal of providing meaningful work in an inclusive workplace for every one of our team members.”
3M Canada, an innovative company known for health care, office, and adhesive products, ranked 8th in the 1,000 plus employee category. Engineering services provider JMP Engineering Inc. landed at number 22 in the 100-999 employee category.
More than 400 employers registered to participate in this year's best workplaces survey, with over 80,000 employees participating.
