Man Taken To Hospital With Life-Threatening Injuries After Assault

An Oneida Nation man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a man, causing him to suffer life-threatening injuries.

Members of the Middlesex County OPP and Munsee-Delaware Nation Police Service responded to an assault at a home on Oneida Rd. in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation on Thursday at around 5:30pm.

Officers found a man suffering from injuries at the house. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Police say there was also a second assault victim, but the person did not require medical attention.

A 29-year-old man of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation was arrested and charged with assault and aggravated assault. He appeared in a London court on Friday to answer to the charges.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police say the victim and accused are know each other and there are no concerns for public safety.
