Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

London police have a man in custody following an afternoon bank robbery in the east-end.

A man walked into the Scotia Bank at 950 Hamilton Rd., east of Highbury Ave. and demanded money from an employee around 2:15pm on Monday. The man then took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was physically hurt and no weapon was used during the robbery, according to police.

Officers arrested an adult male not far from the bank.

The investigation has been turned over to the police street crime unit and is on-going.
