Fire officials and London police are trying to pinpoint the cause of two suspicious fires at a west-end townhouse complex Tuesday.
Firefighters were called to 1481 Limberlost Rd. around 5am after some mattresses were set on fire near a fence. When crews arrived they also discovered the front of one of the nearby units was ablaze.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
"The investigation of these fires will be conducted in cooperation with the London Fire Department and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshall,” said Detective Sergeant Blair Harvey. “Due to the time of day when these fires occurred, there are very few witnesses. As a result, anyone who may have information about these fires is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers as soon as possible.”
A damage estimate has not been released.
